Adam Miller
President
As president and founder of Summit Design + Build, LLC, Adam is responsible for leading the firm's management team, as well as, directing the day-to-day operations of the organization. He also guides the firm's financial and strategic planning efforts to provide direction for the company's future growth and expansion.

In addition to his overall leadership role, he is involved in all sales, marketing and construction activities from initial client contact through budgeting, design and development and on to project completion.

Adam has been active in the office, commercial, retail, industrial and residential construction industry for over 10 years. He has personally overseen the planning, design, construction and successful occupancy of over 85 projects totaling in excess of 5 million square feet and $175 million in revenues.

Adam attended the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Massachusetts and received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He lives in Glencoe, Illinois with his wife, Michelle, and their four children.

Ken Motew
Principal
As one of the principals and co-founders of Summit Design + Build, LLC, Ken is responsible for overseeing the firm's management and administrative process.

In addition to his management role, Ken oversees the office and financial management functions for the firm including corporate budgeting and forecasting, cash management, risk management and maintaining relationships with outside financial institutions. He is also responsible for new business development and client relations.

Ken has been active in the residential and commercial construction industry for over 15 years. He has extensive experience in managing the accounting and financial operations within the real estate investment, development and construction industries.

Ken attended Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting. He lives in Highland Park, Illinois with his wife, Jill, and their five children.

Mike Zucker
Principal
As one of the principals and co-founders of Summit Design + Build, LLC, Mike is responsible for overseeing the firm's management and administrative process.

In addition to his management role, he is also responsible for new business development and client relations. Mike works directly with the client and project team to ensure that all aspects of the project are handled in a cost-effective, thorough and professional manner.

Mike has been active in the residential and commercial construction industry for over 15 years. He has extensive experience in the development, administration and implementation of the construction management process within the real estate development, property management and construction industries.

Mike attended the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign in Champaign, IL and received a Bachelor of Arts degree. He lives in Highland Park, Illinois with his wife, Franny, and their three children.

Jeff Harwood
Director of Field Operations
As director of field operations for Summit Design + Build, LLC, Jeff brings over 23 years of experience to the firm.

His responsibilities include overseeing the field personnel and operations, as well as, the development and management of the company's procedural, safety and quality assurance programs.

Jeff has personally completed a diverse range of residential and commercial projects including over 600 apartments, condominiums, loft residences, and multi-story, high-end town homes, in addition to, the completion of over 2 million square feet of retail, office, and mixed-use projects totaling in excess of $150 million in revenues. Some of his most recent projects include Church Street Station, a 17-story mixed use retail and 105 unit condominium building in Evanston, IL; 817 Washington, the conversion of an existing 80,000 sq. ft. warehouse building into 40 high-end loft residences in Chicago, IL; a 4-story, 30 unit condominium building with 17,000 sq. ft. parking garage in Highland Park, IL; and Court House Square, an intricate historical renovation of two turn-of-the-century government buildings into luxury residences, recreation center and offices in Wheaton, IL.

Prior to joining Summit Design + Build, LLC, Jeff held the position of project superintendent with Focus Development, Inc. in Northfield, IL where he was employed for six years. Jeff previously acquired design and construction experience with companies such as Brookhaven Construction General Contractors, The RJ Group, Ltd., and Dubin and Associates. He lives in North Barrington, Illinois with his wife, Donna, and their two children.

Giles L. Flanagin
Associate Principal
As associate principal of Summit Design + Build, LLC, Giles is responsible for the general construction management and development activities for all renovations, restorations, custom single family homes, and condominium conversion projects.

Giles' responsibilities also include the management and implementation of project budgeting, forecasting, and staffing of the company's condominium conversion projects. He also oversees the customer service and quality control program.

Giles has been active in the residential and commercial construction industry for over six years. He has managed the development and construction of over 250 residential condominiums and 10 custom single family residences in the Chicago area. Currently, he is supervising the construction of two multi-million dollar custom homes in Lincoln Park, three condominium projects totaling 45 units, and the development and construction planning for three future conversions totaling 56 units.

Giles holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration/Finance from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. He currently lives in Chicago, Illinois.

Michael Obloy
Associate Principal
As associate principal of Summit Design + Build, LLC, Mike is responsible for directing pre-construction and design development activities including project financing, feasibility analysis, estimating, budgeting and project administration.

Mike's responsibilities also include directing and coordinating the sales and marketing activities for the firm. He works to consistently deliver on the firm's promise of exceptional design, quality and customer service.

Mike has been active in the residential and commercial construction industry for over nine years. He has managed the development and construction of over 300 residential condominiums and 18 custom single family residences in the Chicago area. He has also contributed to the successful completion of numerous commercial developments including a 10,000 sq. ft. office building renovation for @Properties in Chicago, IL; Lake Street Office Condominium, a 24,000 sq. ft. structural renovation of an existing office building, as well as, the redevelopment of 4707-15 N. Broadway, a 22,000 sq. ft. structural renovation. He has direct experience managing both historic and landmark designated projects as well as projects involving Tax Increment Financing.

Mike holds a degree in Entrepreneurship Management from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. He currently lives in Chicago, Illinois. Mike and his wife, Angela, currently live in Chicago, Illinois.

Nicholas Jones
Accounting Manager
As accounting manager of Summit Design + Build, LLC, Nick is responsible for the financial management of the company, as well as, directing the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization.

Nick's other responsibilities include management of the company's human resources department which encompasses the insurance and employee benefits programs.

Nick has been active in the residential and commercial construction industry for over 2 years. He has extensive experience in management, accounting and financial operations within the real estate investment, development and construction industries, in addition to, having worked in the public accounting sector.

Nick attended Augsburg College in Minneapolis, Minnesota and received a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Business Administration/Accounting with a specialization in Public Accounting. He is a former professional hockey player and is currently very active in coaching youth hockey. Nick lives in Chicago, Illinois.

Mark Heffron
Project Manager
As project manager of Summit Design + Build, LLC, Mark is responsible for coordinating and supervising the project's design and construction process and daily activities to ensure that the project gets completed on time and within budget.

Mark's responsibilities also include design coordination, permitting, project scope, budgeting, construction scheduling, as well as, subcontractor bidding, negotiation and administration.

He has personally been involved in numerous projects including Ravinia Park Place, an 18,500 sq. ft., 10-unit, three-story condominium building with secured heated garage and first floor commercial space in Highland Park, IL; The Crossings at Franklin Station, a 110,000 sq. ft., 70-unit, eight-story condominium building in Franklin Park, IL; a 13,500 sq. ft. luxury single family residence in Chicago, IL; and a 45,000 sq. ft. office and warehouse building for Tyco, Inc., a plastics manufacturer, in Aurora, IL.

Prior to joining Summit Design + Build, LLC, Mark acquired experience as a project manager for Norcon, Inc. in Chicago, IL and as a project engineer for KCC Group Design + Build in Deerfield, IL.

Mark holds a Certificate of Business and Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin. He currently lives in Chicago, Illinois.

Tim Stoeckel
Project Manager
As project manager of Summit Design + Build, LLC, Tim is responsible for coordinating and supervising the project's design and construction process and daily activities to ensure that the project gets completed on time and within budget.

Tim's responsibilities also include design coordination, permitting, project scope, budgeting, construction scheduling, as well as, subcontractor bidding, negotiation and administration.

He has personally been involved in numerous projects including Niles Distribution Center, a 235,000 sq. ft. warehouse facility in Niles, IL; Irving Park Distribution Center, an 88,000 sq. ft. warehouse facility in Franklin Park, IL; Grand Warehouse, a 180,000 sq. ft. truck & rail distribution center in Northlake, IL; Park National Bank, a façade renovation and addition to a 11 story office building in Chicago, IL; Motorola Project Debbie, a 7 story 360,000 sq. ft. office building in Deer Park, IL; and Sacred Heart Church & School, a 13,000 sq. ft. worship center and 5,000 sq. ft. school addition in Winnetka, IL.

Prior to joining Summit Design + Build, LLC, Tim acquired nearly a decade of project management experience with firms such as Duke Construction in Rosemont, IL, Berglund Construction in Chicago, IL and Ragnar Benson, Inc. in Park Ridge, IL.

Tim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. He lives in Arlington Heights, IL with his wife, Kathleen, and their two children.

David Brown
Project Engineer
As project engineer of Summit Design + Build, LLC, David is responsible for assisting in the design/build process and acting as a liaison to subcontractors and superintendents to ensure that the project gets completed on time and within budget.

David's responsibilities also include coordinating and troubleshooting activities in the office and out in the field; preparing bid packages, analyzing subcontractor bids; leading job meetings; writing contracts and change orders; and interfacing with Municipal and Regulatory agencies.

He has personally been involved in numerous projects including a 900,000 sq. ft. 10-story hospital in Los Angeles, California; a 20,000 sq. ft. warehouse and office facility for Alpha Baking Company in North Aurora, Illinois; and a 10,000 sq. ft. office build-out for Webb Scarlett de Vlam in Chicago, Illinois.

Prior to joining Summit Design + Build, LLC, David acquired experience as a project engineer/estimator for Performance Contracting, Inc. in Anaheim, CA.

David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Construction Management from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. He currently lives in Chicago, Illinois.

Bryana Yergler
Project Engineer
As project engineer of Summit Design + Build, LLC, Bryana is responsible for assisting in the design/build process and acting as a liaison to subcontractors and superintendents to ensure that the project gets completed on time and within budget.

Bryana's responsibilities also include coordinating and troubleshooting activities in the office and out in the field; preparing bid packages, analyzing subcontractor bids; leading job meetings; writing contracts and change orders; and interfacing with Municipal and Regulatory agencies.

Prior to joining Summit Design + Build, LLC, Bryana worked as a summer intern at the firm, assisting the project management staff, for two summers. She is a recent graduate from the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in General Engineering with a focus in Construction Management. Bryana currently lives in Chicago, Illinois.

Tulio Alvarez
Superintendent
As project superintendent for Summit Design + Build, LLC, Tulio's responsibilities include field supervision and the coordination of subcontractors to ensure that the construction schedule is maintained.

Tulio's focus will be on job scheduling, construction quality control and ensuring that safety measures are followed. He will also coordinate day-to-day communications and scheduling, monitor in-progress and completed work to guarantee that the project progresses according to contract drawings and specifications, and schedule the appropriate testing and building department inspections for all phases of construction.

Prior to joining Summit Design + Build, LLC, Tulio acquired experience as a superintendent for PEAK Construction in Chicago, IL and as a customer service technician for Dubin Residential in Chicago, IL. He has personally been involved in a wide variety of projects including multi-unit residential renovations, townhomes, and high-end single family homes throughout Chicagoland. Tulio currently lives in Skokie, Illinois with his wife, Milenna, and their two daughters.

Jake Arzer
Superintendent
As project superintendent for Summit Design + Build, LLC, Jake's responsibilities include field supervision and the coordination of subcontractors to ensure that the construction schedule is maintained.

Jake's focus will be on job scheduling, construction quality control and ensuring that safety measures are followed. He will also coordinate day-to-day communications and scheduling, monitor in-progress and completed work to guarantee that the project progresses according to contract drawings and specifications, and schedule the appropriate testing and building department inspections for all phases of construction.

Prior to joining Summit Design + Build, LLC, Jake acquired construction experience for companies such as Weis Builders in Chicago, IL and Power Construction in Chicago, IL. He has personally been involved in a wide variety of projects including multiple warehouse, manufacturing, and industrial buildings; various multi-unit residential buildings, healthcare/ medical office facilities, and government work. Jake currently lives in Round Lake, Illinois with his wife Jessica, and their two children.

Erik Hauser
Superintendent
As project superintendent for Summit Design + Build, LLC, Erik's responsibilities include field supervision and the coordination of subcontractors to ensure that the construction schedule is maintained.

Erik's focus will be on job scheduling, construction quality control and ensuring that safety measures are followed. He will also coordinate day-to-day communications and scheduling, monitor in-progress and completed work to guarantee that the project progresses according to contract drawings and specifications, and schedule the appropriate testing and building department inspections for all phases of construction.

Prior to joining Summit Design + Build, LLC, Erik acquired experience as a superintendent for companies such as Orren Pickell Builders in Lincolnshire, IL and Berliant Builders Inc. in Gurnee, IL. He has personally been involved in a wide variety of projects including numerous multi-unit residential buildings, high-end single family remodeling on the north shore and various retail and institutional work in St. Louis and Kansas City, MO. Erik currently lives in Libertyville, Illinois with his wife, Kim and their two children.

Jesse Macias
Superintendent
As project superintendent for Summit Design + Build, LLC, Jesse's responsibilities include field supervision and the coordination of subcontractors to ensure that the construction schedule is maintained.

Jesse's focus will be on job scheduling, construction quality control and ensuring that safety measures are followed. He will also coordinate day-to-day communications and scheduling, monitor in-progress and completed work to guarantee that the project progresses according to contract drawings and specifications, and schedule the appropriate testing and building department inspections for all phases of construction.

Prior to joining Summit Design + Build, LLC, Jesse acquired experience as a superintendent for companies such as Clayco in Chicago, IL and KCC Group Design + Build in Deerfield, IL. He has personally been involved in a wide variety of projects including numerous warehouse, manufacturing, and industrial buildings; various multi-unit residential buildings and healthcare/ medical office facilities. Jesse and his wife, Sharon, currently live in Union, Illinois.
